#1 Beginning
Let’s go back to Princess Anne. She was born on August 15, 1950 at Clarence House, Buckingham Palace, England, to Queen Elizabeth II and Philip, Duke of Edinburg. She was their second child and only daughter.
#2 Youth
As a young Princess, she excelled in equestrian sports. She won two silver medals and won gold at the European Eventing Championships. She was the first member of the royal family to ever have competed in the Olympic Games.

#3 Marriages
She married captain Mark Phillips when she was 23. They went on to have two children: Peter and Zara. The Princess chose to not give them royal titles. Her marriage to Mark Phillips lasted for 19 years but ended in divorce. She found happiness once again with Timothy Laurence opting for a small wedding in Scotland.
#4 Kidnapping attempt
Princess Anne’s life has been marked with many highs and some lows. One of those lows came in 1974 when her life was threatened during a kidnapping attempt.
#5 Activities
The hard-working princess is known for taking her royal duties very seriously. She has devoted herself to the role throughout her lifetime. It was revealed in 2017 that Anne was the royal to have undertaken the most official royal engagements that year. The Princes is involved with more than 200 charities and organizations. She was elected Chancellor of the University of Edinburg in 2011, succeeding her father Prince Phillip.
Princess Anne is now a grandmother. As she turns 70, she is a shining example to her four granddaughters as she shows no signs of slowing down
