The nature of the islands is characterized by the lack of trees, that’s why the only trees found there have been imported from Alaska and Tierra del Fuego.

Want to take a step from your job, everyday duties and… traffic lights? This is a perfect place for you. There are only 3 traffic lights on the Faroe Islands, and all of them are located close to each other.
All the public buses in Torshavn, the capital of the country, are free!
There are 0 prisoners on the Faroe Islands! All the convicted criminals serve their sentences in Denmark.
Approximately 50 thousand people live on the Faroe Islands, but they represent more than 70 nationalities! The national language of the country is Faroese.
