Why do we give up our favourite food?

Internet is changing our everyday life. If there's information that something can affect our life we are ready to give it up for better health. However, a lot of these facts are false or exaggerated. Let's analyze some food facts together.
#1 Freezing of fruits and vegetables
There is a common misbelief that frozen fruits and vegetables lose most of their useful properties. Scientists from the United States analyzed 4 vitamins in different fruits and vegetables and concluded that all vitamins and micronutrients are preserved.
#2 Fruit waxing
Many people are concerned about the wax coating on fruit. Actually, this coating prevents fruit from spoiling and protects during transportation. Many fruits and vegetables have a natural wax coating which protects them from drying and softening.
#3 Banana ripening gas
It sounds scary. However, this gas consists of nitrogen, which is a part of the air we breathe and a small amount of ethylene which is released by some fruits. If you've bought green bananas you can place them in a paper bag along with an apple. In two days these bananas will be ripe.
#4 Ultra-pasteurization of milk
This method of pasteurisation kills almost all vitamins in milk. However proteins, fats and carbs are preserved. If your diet is balanced you shouldn't worry about vitamins in ultra-pasteurized milk.
